"Okay, so this hotel probably hasn't been updated since the 1980s. It reminds me of some places I stayed in St Petersburg in the early post-Soviet years. The halls smell very strongly of cigarettes (but my room did not). Okay, so they reuse the same key card for each room, and they even reuse the same little laminated folder to keep them in…the one I had was heavily used. "The hotel is pretty run down, need a a lot of maintenance. The carpet in the room was dirty, the mattresses on the bed were worn and you sunk in them when laid in the bed. Towels were small. The bathroom was clean but one of the doors was missing from the shower cubicle and there was a piece of shower curtain hanging to replace the door. Breakfast was OK. There’s a lot to be desired for the price we paid for this room. "
