"If you are looking for a "motel" one night stay type thing this could be alright. The area isn't great, but security is good. I thought the actual room was pretty nice, although there were one or two stains lying around, I liked the bathroom. My highlight was definitely the friendliness of the staff, and the thing I disliked the most was the difficulty I had sleeping as a result of the noisy hotel guests. "

"Great location & A great host Unfortunately there is no air con and the heat at night made it very difficult to sleep at night. The bedroom we had was small. The other 2 larger bedrooms had sliding doors on to a balcony,which you could leave open at night for some air flow. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs in total 1x double-1 x twin smaller rooms with little air flow. 2x larger rooms with sliding doors to balconies Great breakfast too. "

"We initially felt unsafe here . This was probably not a fair assessment- it was based on how we felt that day . We did leave the hotel to stay somewhere else as I was feeling anxious. We return the next morning abd the staff had been really worried about us . They had explained that security was very high . We were taken about about how much they cared . Dutton's Cove Guesthouse

10/10 Excellent

"This is a hidden gem for sure. The view from our room of the ocean was amazing to see in the mornings and then at sunset. We love the communication using WhatsApp. Nice to communicate when we wanted breakfast delivered and to make dinner reservations. We left a coat in the closet and the manager held it for our return through the area 2 days later. I honestly wouldn't have remembered leaving it at all. So thankful. Breakfast was a big yogurt and ham/egg sandwich that was perfect to start the day. The restaurant on-site is perfect for dinner without traveling at night. Plenty of parking on-site. We will definitely stay here on our next trip along the Garden Route."
