"This was the fourth time we stayed at this hotel. You cannot beat the pool and access to the ocean, but obviously the current management is not competent. The maintenance and service is not good and has really deteriorated from 3 yrs ago. I would rate this a 4 star 3 years ago, and maybe a 2-3 star now. "Property is located in the center of the city of Esmeraldas in easy walk to restaurants and other facilities. We had a feel of being in the Caribbean. Our room was pleasant, comfortable and included a sitting area. Breakfast was good and the lady that prepared and served it was quite pleasant. "
