"During my stay, the overall environment was quiet and peaceful, which I appreciated. This was actually my second time staying at this location, and coincidentally, I was placed in the same room on both visits. I did notice a consistent, subtle odor in the room—it had the scent of an older space with limited air circulation, carrying a slightly damp or musty smell, with a faint hint of cigarette smoke. While not overpowering, it was noticeable. That said, the room itself was clean and well-kept....

"We came across this place purely by chance, as we had a day in hand while driving across the state and were simply looking for somewhere with an outdoor pool for some R&R. What a find, and rather better than some random Hampton Inn!!! It's a beautiful place and even us jaded Brits were impressed with the historic house, the decor and the setting. "We frequently stay at B&Bs and this property outshone all the others. The bathrooms were all modern and very clean, comfy bed, great lighting in the rooms. The breakfast might have been the best part, however, and every day was delicious, filling, and pretty presentation. The inn provides lots of water and soft drink choices, as well as coffees and teas (all self-serve). Fresh-baked cookies every night, and self-serve wine, too!
