"Reception staff very welcoming. Hotel very old and carpets very threadbear in halls and stairs. Bathroom had stain on flooring and there was mildew on bath/shower mat. No plugs by bedside . Mattress very lumpy "

"I had a twin room and the bedding on my bed had black marks on, as did two of the towels. The breakfast was great but the rooms were utilitaruan, not what you would expect for the price. The hotel is great for a sports venue and the grounds are lovely but not for the general public looking for a luxury stay as the rooms are too basic. I won’t be staying again."

"Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly ,was in a good location for the train station and football stadium. But is beside a busy main road so expect noise from traffic"

"Booked a 4 nights changed rooms 3 times due to no showers working. Was told they had no more rooms and would be fully reimbursed. 6 weeks later still waiting for refunds I had to book the Mill just round the corner and it was bloody amazing.. Stay well clear on the crown "
