"Very quirky property. Outside appearance worrying but clean once inside. Fantastic views from bedroom and balcony. Restaurant food good but pricey especially as immediate outside surroundings were so tatty. Staff very helpful and friendly."

"The hotel was clean and spacious with large, bright rooms. We were greeted with kindness at every turn and made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was excellent, and we loved looking out onto the small river/canal that ran in front of the hotel. The garden out back and the extra sitting areas were a wonderful bonus. "A true gem of a place to stay. We only stayed for one night as we were travelling on business, but would have been very happy to stay for much longer. The property itself is excellent and the extra touches - such a fresh cake and a quality coffee machine - make this place really special."
