"This is our second stay at this hotel. The reception staff, bar staff, kitchen staff and cleaners are all so friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is good with decent choice. We enjoy the pool the most, a little paddling section for our little one. The beach and local town is just a bike ride with lots of cycle paths which makes it fun and safe. There is a large playground half way down toward the beach which we discovered this time. We will come back again!"

"Had a lovely stay with my partner and nearly one year old baby. Prior to arrival we had paid for parking and the "Baby kit". There was delayed communication about where to park, but it was resolved just in time before we reached Evancy. When we checked-in we immediately saw the "Baby kit" wasn't in the room so we had to go down to tell reception - luckily staff was on hand to sort it out quickly. Once we settled in, the stay was great! A note though, the Expedia listing for this property...

"Room was small but clean. There was space to put a suitcase by the bed but no room for a chair in the room. In our room (412) the wash basin was actually in the shower cubicle which was strange but OK apart from getting wet feet if someone had recently had a shower. Small details like tea and coffee were provided (and paper cups) but nothing to stir with. The WiFi code was not provided in the room so I went down to reception to ask whether there was wifi and the information was on the wall at reception but the receptionist hadn't mentioned it when we checked in. Parking was close by in an underground car park - getting in was slightly hairy in a biggish car but all was well. It felt fairly basic but it was very well located and our room was quiet, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good so we were satisfied!"

"Lovely little hotel near the seafront over looking the river. Good sized family suites with comfortable beds. The bar area was really pleasant and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was really fresh too (fresh bread and croissants etc). We would stay again. Excellent location to Calais and the little seafront town was worth a visit."

Overall I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a well priced lovely hotel with everything you need. Unfortunately, we did not have time to experience the spa"

"The property and surrounding area was very clean. We had all the utensils needed for cooking and cleaning. Staff were helpful and available when needed. The check in and information website was really helpful and gave us great ideas of things to do. The swimming pool was excellent. Very clean and fun for the kids. The only things to note, for young children one of the play areas is too damaged for use, and it would be useful is to note the required swimwear (i.e. Lycra only and no shorts)."
