" We had a great stay at Rancho Viejo! The staff is lovely, and the facilities are super clean and well taken care of. Our only suggestion would be regarding the dining: since we love staying for at least two nights, having the same menu for 7 or 8 meals became a bit repetitive. We’d love to suggest a 'dish of the day' to add some variety to the menu!"

"Beautiful hotel, well located in town. If you're driving a car, a little tricky, as located on a hill. Only saw 4-5 parking spots. Walking distance to many restaurant. 45min from Herrera Butterfly Sanctuary. Amazing views of the Lake. Rooms are modern and looking like the photos online. Best shower I had the whole trip !!! Just wished they had a mini fridge in the room. Great Nespresso machine. We had 1 breakfast + one dinner at the restaurant on site and it was just ok. It was low season, so it felt like they had to ask the chef to come in, as we were the only couple in there, both times. The Spa was good, we booked a massage. The Pool area was nice, but the water was not heated, so a little to cold for swimming. We didn’t try the bath tubs. Would definitely return. Staff was amazing and always helpful."

"The hotel was nice and comfortable, we had a good stay. The room was clean but it would have benefitted from warmer/thicker sheets in the beds. The service was good but the instructions for the use of the jacuzzi were unclear so we were unable to use it."
