"We recently stayed at the Three Kings for 2 nights, having stayed there before. The room contained a very comfortable and large bed, with an adequate TV, coffee machine, kettle, coffee/tea, hairdryer, hanging space, and a fold up suitcase stand. The bathroom had shampoo and shower gel, and the shower itself was very good. The property has a restaurant and bar attached, where we had a very good dinner on the first night. This is where breakfast was served which, on the first morning, was exceptional. Unfortunately, on the second morning, some items not required were served and other items were missing and/or cold. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and helped to make our stay enjoyable, thank you! We look forward to visiting again, and we would certainly recommend the Three Kings."

"We were pleasantly surprised that after seeing a few so-so reviews, that was not our experience at all - we had a great stay! The house and gardens are beautiful and while you'd expect a little wear and tear of a property that age, it was very impressive and looked after. We had one of the lodges at the side of the garden and really liked the little terrace outside our door that looked over the garden. The room couldn't be faulted, a very comfortable bed, lots of space and the bathroom was well equiped and spacious. Everything was clean and well maintained and the rainhead shower was strong and refreshing. We didn't see many staff, but the ones we did see were polite and helpful. There was a lot of choice at breakfast and I had the full vegetarian option - excellent scrambld eggs in particular. Overnight, strings of lights lit the garden and it was lovely to sit on the chairs they provided on our little terrace. We've reason to visit the area regularly now and we will try to stay there again."

"Having stayed a few years ago and been satisfied, this time it's plain to see that this hotel needs revamping and some money spent on it, i thought everything was tired, although not the hotels fault the locals were not the best type if you know what i mean, the location has worsened since my last visit, Thetford seemed very run down so no more visits from me."

"Lovely place to stay. Great staff. Food is good. Beer is brewed on site, of course, and worth trying a few different ones. So far as the room was concerned, the carpet tiles are looking a little sad and the bed was a little hard, but it was clean and the shower was good. "

"Another livery stay at the Dragonfly. The best thing about this hotel is the price and close proximity to Bury St Edmund’s town centre. The staff were very attentive and the rooms clean and comfortable. Lots of free parking and fast taxi service. It doesn’t have lots of amenities like swimming pool, golf course etc., but if you want somewhere like a Premier Inn then it’s great. A lot more people should consider this hotel as the cost of other hotels nearby seems to be increasing and this hotel chain is fair on price. We have not eaten here, so I can’t comment of the food."

"Excellent stay. Staff were superb along with the food and drink on offer. Maybe some healthier options would be a suggestion, plus the heating was constantly on full through the building. Money saving opportunity here. Definitely recommend."

"Room in dire need of restoration and redecoration. Do NOT show photos of a restaurant when you do not serve diner or breakfast. This is misleading and should not be allowed."
