"Looked ok in reception but that’s as good as it got , very out dated and not a great deal worked in the room . Very nearly boiled the kettle for a coffee in the morning before looking in it . Never seen anything like that before . When reeling off the stuff wrong with the room the staff were not bothered at all . Was charged £130 for the night and wouldn’t have paid £30 if I had a choice ."

"We have stayed here a few times about 9 years ago when we had reasons to be in north Devon. We were pleased to have had another opportunity last week. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a first rate bathroom. We had a very enjoyable dinner, some lovely wine and a splendid breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we really hope to be able to visit again sometime. Thank you!"

"Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed: We stayed two nights, one in a nice room over top of the pool hall in the back, and another over top of the bar/restaurant facing the waterfront. Being off season, both rooms were quiet enough after bedtime, and we slept well. Internet was good. Breakfast was okay, good enough, but not up to the standards of a modern hotel buffet.
