"Lanjaron is a little tired compared to other towns and villages we visited on our trip. Hotel was clean and tidy, new sealant around the bath required, suite brown (probably lovely in its day) but clean. Bed not great, we could feel the springs popping, not comfy and felt old. Decor plain and old fashioned. The outside was well maintained and a good size pool but we didn’t use. We paid for breakfast which was ok. Value for money, compared to other hotels on our trip, not great. "

"The drive up is winding and narrow, but once you arrive...PERFECTION. This was such a delightful stay, with an amazing breakfast, incredibly attentive staff, and lovely grounds. "Not your traditional hotel booking. Had to pay a €200 damage deposit for an already damaged room before actually seeing the room. Bunk beds were breaking apart and windows were cracked. Because it’s such a hole, it’s used for school trips so we were on a floor with about 50 teenagers banging and crashing around, out of control by their teachers, running around the corridors and shouting until late at night. Everything about this place is rough. I’d sleep in the car if this was the only option. "
