We called to confirm on the afternoon of our reservation and were advised that they had no space available and that they had notified us by email on Saturday. We did not receive an email, nor did the guest in room 2. We did not make the reservation on Saturday! We should not be charged for this room. the only email we received was the one from hotels.com advising us that our reservation was confirmed...

"Nice tented camp, the tents are new and covered on a platform. You look right onto the Talek River. At night zebra, hippos other wildlife come to drink. You are next to the park gate, it is a busy gate complete with the busy balloon guys. But you are right in the park no long drive, you just start your Safari right after your breakfast. "

"We loved staying at the Mara Major Lodge. Yes, it was pricey… but worth it. The tentalows are lovely and we got to hear many wild animals during the night, the staff was LOVELY and helped us plan all our excursions from A-Z! Special shoutout to our sweet game driver Sam. All the staff was Maasai as well, which was a lovely cultural immersion and they were all very open and friendly. Oh and the entrance to the park is so close, you can see it from the lodge! So convenient. "

"Amazing experience on the Mara! The most memorable of my travels this year so far. Everything from food to transport and game drives was arranged impeccably. The Masai hosting and guarding us were very nice and cooked delicious food. We saw many animals on the game drives and our driver John was a great guide. "David and his team were exceptional! All meals were delicious and prepared fresh by their chef. Very close (5-7 minute) to the gate park! They have so many add on features including a champagne breakfast within Maasai Mara National Park…They also have photography options to capture your moments. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The bathrooms and kitchens can use some revamping but David is constantly making improvements to the space. Looking forward to staying here again. "
