Hotel Sovestro is a friendly, relaxing place with two swimming pools and an indoor and outdoor breakfast area. Linked to the hotel next door is a lovely restaurant. Our stay was perfect at the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The continental breakfast choice is outstanding and the entire hotel is kept very clean and up together. The walk to San Gimignano was a little further than we anticipated but it can be done in a leisurely 30...

We really enjoyed our stay here.Tge host Simona is excellent.Very friendly welcome and lots of good advice about buses etc.The property is very well situated for the town amenities. We had an apartment with its own kitchen, fridge etc for drinks and breakfast food which was very useful.

Large room. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location. Would stay here again if returning.

Upgraded to a countryside view room when booked- definitely worth extra. Our room opened onto a large terrace with spectacular views over Tuscan countryside. Was shared with two other rooms but had tables and recliners for each. Room lovely and quiet, bathroom small but well equipped. If going again would book table in hotels restaurant next door (same name) for dinner asking for table with view- this makes it worth paying the €6 for breakfast too.

The best place to stay in San Gimignano. Clean, close to the town, amazing views and friendly owners. We will go back and highly recommend others to do so. Ioannis

No complaints at all, was excellent all round. Brilliant location for San Gimignano

Friendly staff, brilliant location, lovely hotel. Fantastic place.

San Gimignano is a magical place to stay and this hotel is at the heart of the town. Traditional building, with very comfy clean rooms. Our room had wonderful views of the Tuscan Countryside. Staff were excellent and incredibly helpful. Already looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing!!!! Breakfast was wonderful as is staff!!! Amazing view.

NIce place to stay 10 minutes from old Town:)

Hotel was in a good location, about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the port. This same port also has a bus stop to the airport, and having read reviews about the airport hotels decided to stay hear instead, as I was flying out the next day. I'm glad I did, as the room was modern, had wifi (although was tempermental at times), and the breakfast was also very good with a wide selection of food available. The only downside is the windows weren't the best at shielding out the noise, but all things...

We never had time for breakfast unfortunately

Very peaceful, wonderful view from balcony, gluten free breakfast available, very well maintained pool and sun beds, and nothing a problem for the staff

We had a great holiday based at "the old paper mill", whizzing around Tuscany in Florence (our hired Fiat 500 who did sterling work up and down and around the hills and winding roads). Colle is a good base if you prefer to stay in "real" Italy, and is close enough to the touristy bits (Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra etc) for days out. The hotel staff are great - friendly and helpful, and they didn't laugh at my amateur Italiano! Our room was clean and comfy with a lovely view of the old town.

Great location and good price. The hotel is old fashioned but clean with friendly staff. The light could be a little bit better but that's all. I would recommend this place for everyone.
