"Our room was clean and comfortable but showing its age. Although it had been freshened up, the TV was quite old and picture quality was SD when these days one might expect HD. Similarly the light above the bathroom mirror was not even LED and when we found the pull cord it was dim and and only illuminated several years of dust. The bed was very comfortable. "Breakfast was excellent, dinner however is a different kettle of fish. To charge £4.00 for 5 onion rings was actually a rip off. Over the two dinners we had in the hotel service was inadequate. Bringing out two dishes separately because one meal wasn’t ready. I’m expecting decent service and pulling the staff off the reception desk to run the and wait table is unprofessional and rediculous."

"The hotel is an old Georgian building and therefore reflected in the rooms and amenities. Lots of character and charm. However, this means no aircon and old fashioned door locks etc. They provide a fan but our room was still too warm. We stayed in April so the summer months could be tricky.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was well stocked. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and lovely fluffy towels. Lots of tea and coffee. Coffee was high quality bags and not the nasty...

"Charming and character-full hotel with lovely Enid Blyton memorabilia for those of us who have fond memories of growing up with her stories. The location is beautiful, across the road from the ocean and beaches, along with several excellent walks.
My room was very comfortable and cosy with nice updates, although part of the charm of the hotel is its age which does show in some of the common areas.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, although a few more healthy options would be appreciated for...
