"It’s a remote location. I have a 4x4 and it was challenging to get to the hotel due to the loose rocks, especially as you get closer to the hotel. The good: remote location, very quiet with no internet access for digital detox. Good hike up to the big rock (800 meters). Good host. The bad: cabins are not well maintained. My whole family had spider bites in the morning. "

"Fantastic hosts! We actually stayed here twice, the first visit, one night, we arrived with a tire that was leaking air. It went flat overnight, and the host insisted on changing the tire and taking it to a shop for repair, even though it was on a Sunday, and most places were closed. He returned and installed the tire, refusing any payment for tire repair or his time! Nicely decorated property and great interaction even though our Spanish and their English was limited."

"The hotel has a lot of construction still, the exchange rate was wrong, they charged me more than what expedia said on the site. They didnt have food available for us at 4pm. There was a weird smell coming out of the bathroom, room had a lot of bugs. The bed was confortable and the shower was nice. Breakfast was not fresh neither on time when we requested it. Hotel has a nice view of the montains. Wifi was terrible. "

"La Cupula is de dependance van het Hotel. Dat ligt vlak aan de drukke doorgaande weg. Achter het restaurant ligt op een veel rustiger plek ook een deel van het hotel. Daar zijn prachtige ruime kamers. We betaalden daarom iets meer. Het personeel us zeer voorkomend en service-gericht. Het eten in het restaurant erg goed."

However, these are all minor issues comparing with what we encountered upon check-in at the front desk. We were told that while Expedia informed the hotel of my reservation, it didn't send the payment to the hotel, so I had to pay to the hotel. I made a credit card payment as demanded, and recieved only a credit card receipt but no hotel receipt stating the purpose of the charge. Later on, after multiple inquires about the double payments, the hotel conceded that their receptionist had made a mistake and the payment "was cancelled". After more than 10 days, the payment is still on my credit card account and further inquiries from me received no response from the hotel."
