Quick to the train station, only a few minutes away and not far from the funicular (which, if you're skiing runs before the ski lifts so from the hotel you can still get first lifts onto your mountain). Bourg is a lovely place."

"My daughter & I enjoyed the clean room & plentiful self serve breakfast! We were hiking the TMB which they knew nothing about ( or there was a language barrier), so don’t expect any answers re: the trail or luggage transfers. There were many farm animals and dogs around, so you have to be comfortable with seeing dogs playing around and even pigs in the lobby!"

"Beautiful, atmospheric (though well maintained) old building. One of the doors inside is bullet into an impressive stone arch with the Savoie crest carved into it. It once marked the boarder between Savoy and the rest of Italy, so that gives an idea of how old the original structure is My room was comfortable and had a balcony affording a lovely view of time-honoured stone-tiled roofs and the mountains beyond .
