"I have stayed at the Monte Carlo for over 20 years and they have always looked after my needs with great care and compassion. The hotel is set in a wonderful position in the town ( not the soulless hotel zone) overlooking the sea and mountains. "The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, and I am very grateful for that. They even allowed me to have a late check-out. The room was spacious, but unfortunately, it had no view — just a view of the parking lot. I absolutely loved the gym and the indoor swimming pool, and I also found the breakfast to be amazing! Overall, I had a great time and would definitely stay again."

"Excellent location right in the centre of Funchal with a taxi rank virtually across the road. Comfortable room with extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard. Nice toiletries in the bathroom with both shower gel and shampoo. Good hairdryer. Lovely pool on the top of the building with a bar and a great view of the city. Very good breakfast, the only thing that could be improved (and I’m being picky here!) is the jam, as it’s not really jam, more like a dessert topping. Everyone was super nice...

"Man muss immer die Relation zum Preis betrachten. Das insgesamt hat man zwar Einbußen wegen Renovierungsbedürftigem Hotel, jedoch haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel hat alles was es braucht und die Lage ist super. Auch das Parkplatz Thema ist nicht ganz so schlimm, Abends parkt man im Ort gratis, tagsüber gibt es die Tiefgarage des Ortes welche sehr günstig ist. Ich kann das Hotel daher eigentlich nur weiterempfehlen. "
