Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc. Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. "A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. "The staff were extremely friendly. The food in the restaurant was great and reasonably priced. The hotel was easy to find and located right next to a roundabout that let you go anywhere in the region. There were shops across the highway (accessible by car 2 minutes). Great place to stay if exploring the region’s Chteaux. "
