"The property was very charming and I enjoyed my stay. It was rather tired though - worn carpets, lights not all working etc. It could use a bit of TLC! I liked the ambiance though and staff were very friendly. It's a bit far from the Old City to walk, but we used Grab and were into the heart of things very cheaply in about 10 minutes. "

"Used to be a luxury gem, now abandonned and secluded where you will be the only guest in a kind of ghosty atmosphere, however in a unique setting and in a clean and spacious well decorated suite with big balcony. The hotel is right opposite Dara Dhevi which is an experience to see and visit for dining out. The hotel staff are in fact staff at the popular (japan + chinese) restaurant that is run from the same location. You will be left on your own."

"This is a quaint smaller boutique resort outside the city - and it helped at the end of the day when one needs the quiet and silence away from the business of the day. The hotel offers airport pickup and drop off, an ample breakfast continental or Asian and in a pinch when hungry - someone will cook a simple meal at night. "The room was clean, quite, and very comfortable. The wifi worked great, and the rain shower was very relaxing. The breakfast had tasty choices which were all good. The coffee was brewed fresh with several options according to your preference. We liked it so much that we cancelled our upcoming stay at another hotel and rebooked those 3 nights at iThaphae."
