"Property was good size and clean but was not as luxurious as shown in the pictures. Property had no view at all as it overlooked the main road and the supermarket car park on the other side of the road. Was very expensive for what it was but was fine for an overnight stay. However I would look for an alternative if staying in Vik in future. "

"What an interesting stay. We loved it. We stayed in the haytower. The place was so cool. They created a wonderful lodging out of an old building that in the late 30’s housed farm animals and upstairs kept hay for the livestock. It now has all the conveniences of home with kitchen,washer dryer, dishwasher,fridge,microwave, large tv. Upstairs has 2 twins with views of a waterfall as well as the coastline on the opposite side. "This is a great little place to stay and not have to travel to see the northern lights. I stayed in one of the bungalows (the called it the chicken houses). Stay was comfortable, it is a small space so a bit crowded and the ceilings were short and sloped in so it made taking a shower a little challenging but still doable. The only turnoff for me was the sink was leaking from the drain pipe as well as one of the water lines going into the sink and the staff's response was to bring me towels....

"Great Hotel right in the Skogafoss front yard. Get up early and you can have the falls to yourself. Excellent breakfast buffet. Clean room. Expensive restaurant (Iceland, middle of nowhere pricing). Tip: check in before going to the falls, and you won't have to pay the parking fee (get validated), since they share the same lot. Staff are nice and hardworking."
