"Staff were very friendly and helpful, location is really good near the visitor centre. Sunday lunch was very enjoyable, out in the beer garden. It is not the Ritz, obviously, but for the price I paid, totally fine. Excellent shower and great to find a single room available. Unfortunately the mattress was not good. "

"The photos of this property are completely misleading, as in reality it is very very different! The room was small, nowhere to put anything, the en-suite was tatty with broken shelf over sink, dirty mirror and a shower that was pretty poor! The room was cold & uninviting! Other parts of the property were full of clutter & just looked uncared for and needs a complete overhaul. I can’t believe we paid good money to stay here!! "

En suite was also clean and the shower had plenty of room and hot water. Wall heater easy to use. Quiet overnight. The bar was laid back. Food reasonably priced. Locals pub. Choice of beers. "Room absolutely perfect, very clean - super location. Continental breakfast provided as self service but no indication as to where it was. Luckily I found someone who was able to show me as it was in another part of the building with no signage, otherwise I wouldn’t have found it. Limited reception facilities, no one there when I left so unsure how to pay, in the end I left cash with a lady who assisted with the Abbey. Would definitely stay again, but I bit more direction/guidance would have been really helpful."
