"The hotel location is fantastic, very peaceful, with well kept and beautiful grounds. Food is excellent, staff and service equally so. Whilst the rooms are basic ours was very clean and the swim up pool, whilst shared with two other rooms, felt private. We had a wonderful ten days all inclusive, which was excellent value. We'd 100% return! Not a place to go if you're bothered about watching television 🙂"

"Very good and family friendly experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, overall an excellent stay. The only complaint would be that dinner at 2 of the 4 restaurants felt a little like a conveyor belt where the priority seemed to be getting us fed and out as quickly as possible rather than having us enjoy the dining experience. With that said the experience at the other 2 restaurants was excellent."

Peninsula Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"The view is unbeatable from this resort. We had the superior sea view room. Large balcony and unobstructed view. The balcony however is sort of connected with other rooms with no real barriers. We didn’t feel unsafe but it was weird to see other rooms by just walking around the balcony. The room was large but bathroom is small. No counter space or hooks for the towel to hang. There are lots of steps to go up and down depending on where your room is located. We were happy with our room except the sliding door lock was broken and it took the maintenance person to fix it over 3 hours till 9:30 pm. Very inconvenient. The all inclusive drinks aren’t great. The cocktails are not drinkable. Beer and wine were ok. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were all decent. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back."

"We had a nice room with a balcony and view of the harbor. We were disappointed with the breakfast. We arrived soon after breakfast had started and even so all of the hot items were cold. Cold eggs and meats the are intended to be served hot should be. It really had the potential to be an excellent breakfast as there were plenty of options. We didn’t dine at the restaurant as there were no gluten free options for me, but that worked out wonderfully as on the next block is a fabulous restaurant called Veneto 1860 Bar & Restaurant. The menu was extensive with gluten free items identified on the meal and the view was perfect of the fortress and harbor. Also if you need laundry done, there is a wonderful drop-off service across the street and a few doors down. They will even drop-off your laundry to the hotel. We were able to get same day service at a very reasonable price."
