"The stay at this hotel was a stop over towards our final destination. It is in the ideal location for a one night stay. The check-in clerk (Alan) was extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. The room was a lovely room in a very quiet area of the hotel. The bedroom was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and functional but could be in need of an update. All of the staff we came into contact with at the hotel were all polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel as an ideal stop...

"Spent 2 nights here the staff were very helpful and friendly The room was very comfortable with plenty of storage space and air conditioning very good as it was 30 degrees during our stay. The pool area was very good. We only ate in the restaurant on one evening and it was very good."

"St Ives is a nice place, it still has a tradition, no chain, department store for goodness sake. The Golden Lion is a good base to explore from. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The bar and restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated. Breakfast was excellent. All in all, really nice. Would I stay again? Yes, most definitely."
