"Unfortunately, due to the out of control seaweed situation at this hotels beach, you can’t swim in the water and on some days you can’t even sit on the beach due to the bugs. The pools were all great and the staff were lovely but I was extremely disappointed about the beach situation. Also, there aren’t enough places in the room to dry wet items, caused a very damp and uncomfortable environment which was welcoming to bugs and the like. Be prepared to spend an exorbitant amount of money on taxis."

"The room was clean and well maintained during our stay. The property is a bit old and dated but comfortable enough. There are two pools and both have unusual layouts where you are not really able to sit by the pool to socialize or to watch your children if you have children with you. Only one of the pools have chairs at all and they are located on a "sun deck" on one side of the pool that is not visible from the part of the pool where you swim. "The Golden Rock is a one of a kind property and we cannot wait to go back. The cleanliness was a 10/10 and the landscaping was absolutely stunning. The restaurant was excellent for every meal we had. I highly recommend the conch chowder. Thank you Golden Rock! "
