"Absolutely loved our stay at The Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown. The lobby is a work of art—playful, stylish, and full of character. Our room was spacious, comfy, and felt like a true escape from the city bustle. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely cared for. Perfect location, gorgeous vibe, and a warmth you don’t often find in hotels. You can tell it’s an older building, with serious 1930’s charm beautifully blended with modern updates. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Very nice hotel for the price we paid. The place was very clean, the bed was amazing, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We only stayed for two nights, but we would definitely come back for a longer stay. That said, I do need to point out that the parking cost is quite excessive — charging almost 50% of the nightly rate just for parking feels a bit unreasonable."

"The hotel is older and has been renovated in the early 2000s. Given that the deco renovation was well done, the age shows and the work is ongoing, as it must be, but the hotel was clean, well appointed, and the beds awesome. However... it was the staff that made it amazing."
