"This hotel really did represent value for money on a weekend where the city was busy due to a famous comedian performing. The hotel is central and only a five minute walk from the train station. Staff helpful, communal spaces lovely for a drink in the evening. Room was roomy shower powerful with lovely toiletries provided - only one bath towel provided for 2 of us but that will have been an oversight and guess what we coped. The breakfast was ok I had to ask for more bread which then was...

"Had a lovely stay, very clean. Great amenities/swimming pool/spa. Comfy bed. Quiet surroundings but near to town for pubs/restaurant. Perfect for a night or 2 away. Will be back for sure"

"We chose this hotel because it advertised a swimming pool and thought it would be a nice treat for my son and me. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.
At check-in, we were kindly offered a complimentary room upgrade, which we appreciated. Sadly, the upgraded room felt more like a downgrade. There was no toilet paper, no iron, the toilet roll holder was broken. Although reception brought toilet paper and an iron when requested, no one was able to repair the broken toilet...

"The hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of an update.
The room was fine...no safe, furniture a bit tatty and some black mould around the bath/shower.
Only 1 dressing robe and slippers in the room, although booked as a couple.
Room service was a bit random. The sandwiche that arrived was not great, with a tired piece of lettuce, 2 small tomatoes and some tortilla chips.
Breakfast was again fine but nothing to write home about. The hot food had the air of being put out for the opening...

"The room was absolutely lovely, the led lights were a nice touch but overall the room was way too dark.
The juice and coffee at breakfast were not very nice.

"We had a room with double and single bed. It was very clean - couldn't fault that.
I felt it was in a rather run down and ugly location - wouldn't ever return to that area of Sheffield. The view from our window was terrible - made area look derelict.
So many things in the room were dated and chipped, including paintwork and had seen better days.
The aircon simply did not work despite three of us trying. Fortunately, the window opened, though even with it open, the room remained very stuffy...
