"Second time staying there, lovely old place. Bar well stocked, dinner and breakfast excellent. Given single room at top of hotel - stonking hot but supplied with fan which helped. Bathtub comfortable but needs a grab rail on the wall for those of us less abled to help us climb out. Otherwise can’t fault it!"

"The hotel is a seventeenth century building and has a stylish interior. The staff are very helpful and make you feel welcome at the hotel. This is a four star hotel.
The room I was in was comfortable and with a very clean bathroom. Food is served most of the day seven days a week and it is very appetising and portions of food are generous. The menus are diverse there is something for every taste.
This hotel is close to all the shops, and transport hubs.

"It seems this hotel hasn't been updated since the 1960s. The carpets were worn and discolored; frankly, we were scared of catching a skin disease if we walked barefoot. With no disposable slippers provided, we wore socks the entire time. A "we don't care" response twice to my message the day before check-in should have been my first clue.
Most importantly, if you have children, do not book this hotel for their safety/life. The windows were disgusting, the paint was chipped, and horrifically,...

"Lovely, clean room, friendly staff and a good breakfast. I would definitely recommend the Glengower to solo travellers. It is a beautiful location on the sea front. I will stay there again in the future."
