The Hotel Roi du Christophe was just what’s we needed. It is very close to the bus station which was what we needed. The owners very kindly arranged a driver to take us to the Citadelle which was the purpose of our trip.
Power cuts were infrequent and only lasted a few minutes Andrew there was plenty of hot water. The food was good and reasonably priced, although the service was slow.

The staff at the hotel are funny, kind, warm, very helpful and easy to be around. AND, if you're blessed enough to meet Nick, the owner, then you're in...

Here are the positives: The bed was one of the comfiest I have slept on in a long time. The room - even though it was in the middle of the town and facing the street - was super quiet. The aircon worked, and the shower was nice. The security guards were sweet, and the breakfast was passable. But here are the big negatives: the evening receptionist was totally unhelpful and couldn't be bothered with us at all, which didn't set the eight tone as she was the first person we met. The WiFi never...
