"We stayed for one night and unfortunately were quite disappointed with our experience.
The air conditioning in our room was not working, which made it extremely hot and uncomfortable, especially as there were no windows that could be opened for ventilation.
The bar staff were also very unhelpful. They seemed reluctant to serve customers and repeatedly told us they had run out of ingredients for mocktails. The overall service felt poor and unwelcoming.

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Taunton - staff were really helpful and polite when we checked in. The room was clean, comfortable bed and clean bathroom with all the amenities - great water pressure in the shower! Also the room was very quiet for a Friday night so not a lot of outside noise can be heard. Breakfast was really good lots of choices, fresh food and cooked to order items.

I had a wonderful stay at The Globe, Topsham. From start to finish, everything was excellent — comfortable rooms, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and great attention to detail. The location is perfect, and the staff made the experience feel effortless and genuinely enjoyable. I’d happily return and highly recommend it. 5/5 on all fronts."

"Really lovely overnight stay with a young family on the way south. Ample parking, quiet rooms, lovely hotel interiors & layout, helpful staff, great breakfast, & working air conditioning for the heat wave. Also lovely time in the swimming pool & sauna, excellent facilities."

"A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level.
