"It's was an experience we wanted, to stay in a castle. The Ruthin Castle has a ton of history. It's a bit run down but I guess that could be the charm. The bathroom was beautiful, the rooms (bedroom and living room) were large. Overall, the place seemed quiet and dark. There is not a lot to do in Ruthin. The staff was nice and the room was clean."

"Excellent breakfast. No lift to second floor which was disappointing but staff were on hand to help with bags. Central location ideal. Staff were always cheerful and smiling which was lovely to see. "

"We stayed 2 nights, arriving late on the first. Unfortunatey the hotel does not provide room service or any meals/snacks after 8.30. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and very clean, with lots of hot water. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, and has an attractive restuarant when it is open."

"I would prefer it hotter but it was warm enough. Food was delicious, very good quality, staff extremely helpful and friendly, spa is beautiful with wide range of facilities. "
