"The room was clean and the staff friendly. I probably would not come here again mainly because they do not serve breakfast. Their website states that breakfast is made to order and I recall seeing it on the expedia page but then was notified a day before about where to go for food instead. I asked on arrival and they have not served breakfast in 3 years. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. The shower had someone else's soap in it and the body wash was never renewed after use. "It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation.
What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies.
This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales.

"Hotels.com allowed us to make this booking when this hotel has gone into liquidation a while ago, very disappointing to travel 1 hour and half to get their and its closed. No one to let us know before hand."

"First impressions weren't great as there's a large sheet of wallpaper hanging off the wall, and a few issues with damp/paint peeling throughout, nothing a bit of maintenance can't fix. For the amount paid, and comparing to other accomodations stayed in, I wouldnt class it as value for money. The frying pan isnt an induction pan, so doesn't work with the hob. There's very little information about the property so the oven was tricky to use first time. The hot water ran out after 2 showers, which...
