"We stayed at Numu because we wanted the swimming pool for our young kids. If we hadn’t wanted the pool, SMA has plenty of cheaper hotel options. The pool was nice. It was only ever us and one other couple. Numu is very close to Parque Benito Juarez and was an easy 10-15 minute walk to most places. Our room with two queen beds was nice and clean. It had AC, but it didn’t work that well. In August, we were hot at night. We ended up opening the patio door on the second night, which helped some."

"Highly, highly recommend Casa de Sierra Nevada. The hospitality was greater than we have ever experienced at any hotel and/or resort. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, but in a genuine manner. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the room in which we stayed was large and well-appointed, including two separate seating areas, a large bathroom and heated plunge pool, as well as a stocked minibar with high-end spirit options (Deluxe Superior One Bedroom). The location is perfect for walking throughout the central district, with the main square being approximately 2 blocks northwest of the property and the park being 3 blocks to the south. This was preferable to the other hotel we were considering, The Rosewood San Miguel, as it is a relatively significant uphill walk to the square/shops from the Rosewood. In addition, the breakfast at the hotel was arguably our best meal of the day, which is considerable given the excellent restaurant options in San Miguel. We will absolutely choose to stay at this hotel again."
