During our stay was my wife birthday and the management of the resort surprise us with a cake and a bottle of sparkling wine. The resort is in good central location. "The property was clean. The Staff were helpful. The average patron here was 60 or older. The buffet was ok. You have to stay a certain number of nights ti be able to make a reservation at their other restaurants. I could hear the people in the next room. Would consider a hotel closer to the city center which would make it more walkable. There is access to the Formosa which has beach access as well as some cafe on the beach. "

"If you want to stay in Funchal and want more than another soleless hotel, this place is a hidden oasis of calm and stunnkng tropical gardens hidden from the outside world. Everything about this hotel is so well done. Not all hotels are the same."
