"Everything was fantastic In the junior suite might want to upgrade the pillows they were rather useless Broken down inside! A suggestion for wash cloths made available we asked, got them but maid didnot replenish each day. Great recommendations from her for tours. Laur from guest relations was perfection. Great location so close to trains and old town."

Restaurant areas are much improved and food remains excellent. The breakfast room is a delight and breakfast food is of a high standard. Staff are very friendly and helpful. But the hotel has two significant problems at the moment. Firstly the large garden to the front of the house is in very poor condition. Previously this was a magnificent lawned area that complimented the grandeur of the main building, but now it looks wild and out of control. Secondly, disabled access is poor. Both the front and back of the main building are now largely pedestrianised. Previously it was possible to drop off a disabled person at the front and back doors of the hotel. The indoor and outdoor pools and hot tub lack any handrails for use by a disabled person. The bathroom for the designated disabled bedroom is not easy to use and has fundamental design mistakes."
