"The small hotel is in Marampata, Peru, close to Choquequirao. Everything that gets to Marampata comes on a human's or mule's back on a brutally long day of hiking. The fact that the hotel exists there is amazing in itself. No idea how the mattresses got there. My son and I stayed 2 nights on a recent hiking trip to Choque. "I had the most wonderful stay before and after the Choquequirao trek, and in fact the stay before was so wonderful and hospitable that I completed the trek a day early so I could return for one more night. The hosts are so sweet and thoughtful, and Katherine went above and beyond when I returned from the trek a bit sick, offering me honey for my tea from their personal kitchen area.
