" had a good two night stay at Tŷ Newport. The hotel was as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, it had a kettle and the courtesy tray. The bathroom was a spacious with shower only. The noise insulation was very good. The motorway was running very close to the hotel and yet there was no noise. All the people at the reception were very friendly and professional. Also the barman was nice and polite. The only two little suggestions for improvement are: It would be useful to have a mini fridge in the room as well as some hand and body lotion in the bathroom. I liked the green initiative they had: If you did not need to have your towels changed every day, you got a voucher for a free drink at the bar. If I were go back to Newport, I would happily stay at Tŷ Newport again."

Breakfast was brilliant selection of healthy and treat options 24/7 gym was great to have even if a little tired and needing some TLC - always people in there and with only treadmill there was a queue - just glad to see something well used Ideal location for me - quiet but good motorway connections"

"Staff were excellent! Room lovely and bed great Very hot and AC or heat control and could not get below 21 at night. Adjusted sawyers not available very late - had to order on more expensive would not have booked knowing no onsite pub/restaurant available as a solo traveller that’s a must"

"Room was fine. Clean and a good amount of space. The only downsides were the room was very hot even with the window open all night. Considering it’s April I presume the summer will be stifling. The shower also was poor, the pressure was low and operated from the bath taps meaning the temperature was extremely difficult to regulate. "

"The property was clean but a little dated. Breakfast was good. The food in general was good. The room was very dated and in need of an update. The prices were extortionate for where it is, way more expensive than Kent on par with London. The biggest miss sell is the tv. It is advertised on Expedia as a 55” smart tv. It is not 55” and is definitely not smart. This was extremely disappointing as my wife and I were looking forward to cosying up in the room and catching up with Netflix as we are very busy people and don’t get much time at home to do this. I will be writing to Expedia to complain about this as it was something we both really wanted in our stay."

"Lovely stay, clean and comfortable bedrooms. We really enjoyed our breakfast. We used the swimming pool and steam room twice, and the changing rooms and showers were very good. It was also a good price and we will be returning again soon."
