They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine. "La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"The room was clean, looked like pictures. It’s not a five star hotel but you know that when you book it, you get what you expect. The bathroom had been renovated but the shower was missing one door so the bathroom got all wet when we showered, there was no where to hang up towels after showering which was a bit strange. "Roberta was an awesome host. Let us check in early which was helpful. Room was nice, super clean and tastefully decorated. Bed was a queen size and comfortable. Served a nice simple Italian breakfast with espresso and fruit drinks. I was originally concerned because descriptions stated on-site parking which does not exist but across the street in a field and down the street at the local church was plentiful parking and had no issues. Nice place to stay at an affordable rate."

"Great stay for an excellent price and wonderful breakfast the next morning. Good views from our rooftop balcony made for a great evening and morning sit. The air-con works well, and I really enjoyed the unique shower arrangement (you have to unfold the shower enclosure from the wall) which gives you a spacious bathroom when you don't need the shower. The front desk and staff are very accommodating, and did their best with my inability to speak Italian! There is a nice children's park next door...

"Everything. Beautifully furnished room,quite unique,comfy large bed ,fantastic brand new shower,huge sink,lovely bathroom, spotlessly clean throughout. Blackout curtains. Excellent lighting. Wonderful breakfast included with table service and s huge selection of food. Pancakes are delicious. .an amazing view from the restaurant on 5th floor. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Has great spa facilities but I did not use them. Right in the centre of Montecatini terme in a great position,5 mins by foot from train station and bus stop . All the amenities and shops on your doorstep, restaurants, cafes,etc. Can't fault it and would definitely return and recommend it.to anyone. Value for money unbeatable. "
