The hotel is infested with cockroach. The room is dirty. The amenities are not clean and substandard. Overall the hotel is poorly .managed. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel

The people are amazing. The hotel is really nice. Convenient to restaurants and café. The only think about this hotel is the noise from the church at night which make me move to another hotel. I would suggest a sound proof window. I understand they cannot stop the church sevice or move their building away. But, they could at least have sound proof windows.

1. They sent a shuttle to pick me up. Unfortunately the plane was late and luggage delivery took a looong time. He wasn’t where they said he’d be and I wandered quite a bit and had someone call in order to find him. He complained a bit about the delay, but at least he was there! 2. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was great. 3. However, there was a missing drain cover over the drain/seeer line from the toilet, so the bathroom smelled bad. I tried to avoid going in there. Room 611. 4. I could have used a blanket. I had to put on long underwear in the middle of the night to warm up.

My go-to place to stay!

I always like this place for the cleanliness, simple but functional, close to shops, and the chance to wake up next to a church with morning service. But there are several other reasons, price, relative close distance to Bole, nearby restaurants, shops, coffee shops, etc that make this place an ideal place to stay.

Friendly staff but tired hotel

Very friendly staff, but I had to ask several times to get some toilet roll, despite the room having been cleaned twice since I ran out. Relatively clean, but hotel could just do with a bit of a revamp. Feels very tired. Wifi was also terrible in the rooms. Good location though, and like I said, very friendly and helpful staff.

Never got room service and requested it many times. The breakfast was terrible. The internet kept going out. They had only ONE key for the room. The airport shuttle was an old sedan with a trunk that wouldn’t close.

Worst hotel stay ever. Should be a 2 STAR

1. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink. 2. Requesting fresh towels early the next morning and did not get them until the evening that day. 3. The front Desk said they did not have a spare key to my room and told me if I want room service I would have to leave my key or stay in the room. 4. When I told the front desk that I could stay in my room and wait for room service they told me that all of the cleaning service was on break for breakfast and I had to wait. 5. Internet service kept going out and would not stay alone for more than 15 minutes. 6. Airport shuttle service with a broken down old car whose truck would not stay closed and was 30 minutes late picking me up to take us to the airport. I was very lucky that I did not lose any luggage.

All the staff including the receptionists, security guys, sanitation ladies, the cooks, the supervisor( Selam) are all exceptional and try to help you and make your stay wonderful in anyway possible. My room have 2 balconies with different views of Addis. The room itself is spacious. I stayed for 15 days, but only felt like a couple days. Whenever I come to Addis from here on, this will be the place & 608 will be the room I will be staying.

Affordable place with spacious rooms

The Impress hotel is only few minutes from the airport and approximately 15 minutes from the city center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but nothing luxurious. We had problems with the shower and asked to change a room, which they were quick to help with. The staff were always helpful and we were happy with the service.

Nice hotel but noisy from church nearby

PLUS: Room is huge with a kitchenette. Got quite cold at night, needed extra blankets. Breakfast buffet was nice. Free airport transfer upon request. MINUS: the Orthodox Church behind hotel has marathon broadcast worship Friday & Saturdays from 6 pm until 9 am - so loud even ear plugs cannot block out sound. If you plan to stay there over the weekend, be prepared!

Superb

The hotel is not too far from the airport, and close to Edna Mall, restaurants, coffee shops and other essentials. The breakfast buffet in the morning offered a nice variety of foods, and the staff makes an omelette upon request. The room was equipped with a mini kitchen and there is a grocery store nearby, so I was able to enjoy the feeling of home. I stayed at the hotel for almost 3 weeks on a business trip, and I couldn't have picked a better hotel. My room was spacious and came with a desk and two sets of tables and chairs, so I was able to have meetings in my room. This was a big deal because transportation in Addis is expensive and chaotic. The staff was courteous and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. The hotel delivers a lot of value if you are looking for a reasonably priced practical accommodation that has the comforts of a staffed apartment. I will definitely stay there again.
