I stayed for 5 nights. The location is good and convenient, which is definitely a plus. The apartment was reasonably well equipped, but overall the condition of the property did not match the photos online and felt overpriced for what it offers.
The building is clearly quite old, and several maintenance issues stood out. The dryer door was falling apart, and when standing in the shower I could feel that the floor underneath the tiles felt damp and unstable, which was concerning. It gave the impression that there may be deeper maintenance or moisture issues.
The biggest problem, however, was cleanliness. I encountered cockroaches twice during my stay. I understand that insects can happen in Australia, but at this price point I expect immediate action. When I reported it to the front desk, the response was simply “okay, thank you,” and no solution or follow-up was offered. That lack of concern was disappointing, and I didn’t bother reporting it again the second time.
At checkout, no one asked how my stay was, which reinforced the feeling that guest feedback isn’t a priority.
Overall, while the location is good, the maintenance issues and pest problem make it hard to justify the price. I wouldn’t return and would not recommend it in its current condition.
