"Stayed at Relax Inn in Lucedale, MS during a 12U baseball tournament and had a great experience. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and conveniently located to everything we needed for the weekend. Charles at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly, making check-in and our stay smooth. Excellent value for the price. Would highly recommend for anyone needing a comfortable, affordable place with great service and proximity to local fields."
"The bathroom smelled of stale urine like a Texas rest stop in the summer. There were no lamps and the only lighting was a harsh bright white led that was not very easy on the eyes. The staff hid behind a service window and the lobby was never open so if this is southern hospitality then I wonder where this myth came from. On top of all that they were the cheapest place in town but still way overpriced for what they were offering. The floor was dirty a little bit cleaner after the bed topper fell on the floor and sweeper some grime to the side.
At least the bed was comfortable enough for me to fall asleep.
Only stay in Lucedale if you absolutely need to. It is a sundown town and I would have passed through if I didn’t need to be in town for a funeral."
"we checked into our room and i was shocked! badly stained carpet dirty and the floor. the bed looked as if the covers were just pulled up. the bathroom black dark rings around the tub..
the staff made it right the best they knew how. if this hotel wants to succeed the manager will need to care about the customer. small town not much to choose from therfore there is a great opportunity to get a better rati g just not this visit.
the staff save this from being a really bad rating. pay your housekeeping staff more and inspect the outcome from time to time.
for me it will not be on my list to return. also note breakfast is no longer included in the rate. "
