"Fantastic place to stay on La Velo Francette. Full of character. A locked garage for the bikes, and cold beer on arrival. Perfect! Mark, the host was so welcoming and helpful."
"I had a delightful stay at this B&B and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in this region. The room was pretty, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was top notch as was the service. The owners are a charming couple who are also bilingual in French and English. The property and gardens are absolutely lovely and peaceful. "
"We were on a cycling trip. Check in was easy and the staff very helpful in locking away our bikes in a secure location. The beds were very comfortable and showers hot! Breakfast was standard continental with plenty of food available. Located a little out of town centre and surprisingly quiet.
The rooms are in need of some minor maintenance but comfortable."
"Excellent séjour au Manoir d'Orbe : l'accueil est très chaleureux et Jean Michel prend plaisir à accueillir comme il se doit son hôte. Une chambre spacieuse très propre et au calme. Le petit déjeuner est bon et fait maison. Rien à redire"
" Nice spacicous rooms. One problem was the heat. No aircon. The outside temperature was particularly hot, 39°C. The room fan helped but other areas were extremely warm.
Still like this hotel and will stay again in the future."
"Beautiful chateaux with friendly owner. The chateaux is huge with very few rooms. Given the oldest part was built in 1115, you can expect that it is as clean as a modern 5 star hotel. Nevertheless, the bed is comfortable and the property has character. I would highly recommend staying there for the experience. BTW, the breakfast is also excellent with fresh squeezed apple juice from the property."
"The hosts were very welcoming and full of helpful information for eating options in the surrounding area.
The room was spacious and beds were very comfortable."
"Our one night stay at Château Picol was our first experience in a French Château.
Our hosts served delicious food, which included local produce.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "
"Beautiful property. Wonderful host. Could not ask for more. We have stay in 8 hotels over three weeks of this holiday and this was the best bed and most comfortable. "
"Tired and needs decorating not like the picture shows
No basin in the toilet can’t wash your hands unless you walk around the bedroom to the shower room.

"Clean room but basic, in need of some modernisation.
Breakfast was basic too, but served a purpose.
Location in parthenay was good! And parthenay itself is a lovely place to stay. "
