"We arrived at The Admiral ready for a relaxing weekend, but our original room had apparently been auditioning to become a sauna. Despite everyone's best efforts, the temperature refused to cooperate, and both we and our dogs were melting faster than ice cream in July.
The staff was fantastic. While we camped out in the lobby trying to avoid spontaneous combustion, they worked to find a solution and ultimately moved us from the 11th floor to Room 203 on the second floor. As it turned out, this was a blessing in disguise! The room was right next to a balcony that nobody seemed to use, so it felt like we'd been upgraded to our own private outdoor lounge.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The location was perfect. We parked the car and then walked everywhere, discovering some amazing food along the way.
What started as a weekend that threatened to become a sweaty survival story turned into one of our favorite memories. The Admiral turned a hot mess into a great getaway, and for that we're grateful. We'd happily stay here again."
