"Everything was clean and I had a quiet room. The check-in process was smooth. And you really cannot beat the location in the heart of old San Juan. Air conditioner worked very, very well. It would have been nice to be able to control it as it was too cold for my liking. I stayed one night and I think it’s a very good value. There are seating areas in the courtyard and on the rooftop Terrace that was nice to take in the fresh air."

"Just meh. There were way more things wrong than right with this hotel. Almost all the staff were rude with customer service absolutely not a priority, inuding the male server at breakfast who was visibly angry because people arrived. I saw several people give up and leave rather than continue to wait for an hour for food or attention from waitstaff. I specifically asked if there were any umbrellas for the pool area because there was only 1 being used by someone else. Although I was promised by 2 different people, including the front desk lady, that someone would come check and let me know, no one showed up and no one told me anything. So we were left to fry in the sun. One day, the cleaners left our room unlocked after cleaning. Who knows how many people went in while we were away. We won't be staying here again."

"It’s an older building with a modern twist. It’s in a great central location in the heart of Viejo San Juan. It was a relief to have the luxury of walking around the town and being able to take a break from the heat at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly and the air conditioning was paramount. I’d definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it."
