Compton Dando: possible site of dam for wire mill pond. Candlewick Brook, in Lords Wood, marks the parish boundary. On the right is Publow parish and what looks like the remains of old walling. This may be the remains of a dam associated with an 18th century wire mill which was advertised in 1818: ..
