"Staff lovely despite obvious shortages of menu items and basics. They dealt with problems the best they could with the lack of any management being available to offer support to one female staff member on second shift working without uniform another female staff member on her fourth week with the hotel with limited training and a male staff member multitasking to help with anything and everything. Room was clean and bed was comfy Free Wi-Fi Good buffet breakfast although some items fry due to being kept in heat pans too long. No brown or wholemeal bread available. Check in and out went smoothly "

"Arrival- staff were helpful: My room was too hot, so another room was found for me. Any questions I had were dealt with immediately and successfully. Parking is available (1st come - 1st served!!) but reasonable cost. Central position and near most amenities, shops, etc."

"Th building is amazing or at least it will be when the renovation is finished. It will be jaw dropping. Absolutely loved this place, the setting was incredible and the first thing they started with, the most important thing, the beds so had an excellent night's sleep. Totally needs updating (I'm sure th teles were from the 2000s - at least 20 years old, but I was told that that was what they were doing, so by the end of the summer it should be done. I know where I'll be spending Xmas n new year ........... Highly recommended Stace"

"Great facilities. Refurb on whilst we were staying but staff didn't really go the extra mile to mitigate the changes lots of hassle on check in. Asked for an invoice for business expenses as need VAT one. Hotel said they can't provide this despite the fact I have one from another Holiday Inn I stayed at 3 days ago on the same trip (also booked through Hotels.com). Asked for a credit card for room security expenses in case of damage - again the earlier Holiday Inn from the same trip didn't need this so seems to be different protocols between hotels in the chain? Hotel were also complicated about using pool. Can't use it after check out and this wasn't communicated on check in so worth being aware of this limitation. They did extend check out to allow this so resolved in the end but worth being aware of. "

"Bed linen had cug burns in bathroom taps were very lime scaled up. Shower curtain was mouldy."

"Room was nice and for a quick stay it’s a great spot. Heat was off so was a bit cold in the room but the blanket provided was warm"

"Hotel was nice, we really enjoyed the pool and the rooms. We did find that the what in the shower kept going hot and cold but not the end of the world. However something in the room made my partner have an allergic reaction so I'd you have allergies it might be worth bringing up in case it's a pet friendly room"
