This little hotel is in the heart of Andermatt. Very close to everything, groceries, restaurants, ski lift and train station.

The staff was very friendly and always available. The rooms are modern, very clean, and spacious compared to most European properties I’ve stayed in. The location is ideal as the hotel is situated at the midpoint between the two lifts in town. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay, easy to find, centrally located, nice deck area, the bus stops very close to the hotel and the owner was very nice and takes time to help customers enjoy their stay in Andermatt. Thomas will make dinner reservations, guide service and just generally point you in the right direction. The room was really nice and seemed recently remodeled. I would stay again.

The Schlüssel is located close to the train station and near the local bus stop (blue and red lines). Breakfast options were great. You can ski to the middle of town from the Gemstock then walk about 300 meters back to the Hotel. Many good restaurants are nearby. I would consider a longer stay next time I'm in Andermatt.

Great Place in Heaven

I would stay a this wonderful hotel if I ever get the chance to go back to Andermatt. The owner was amazing and very helpful and somewhat funny at times.

Fantastic Experience

Alpenhotel Schlüssel was a perfect hotel for my partner and I during our recent ski trip to Andermatt. Thomas and his team were so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk to both Andermatt gondolas. The ski storage room (and the heated ski boot rack) was a great convenience. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable and the view from our balcony was stunning. The included breakfast and coffee were the perfect start to the day (and the house-made apricot jam was spectacular). I would highly recommend this hotel - and if we come back to Andermatt, will definitely stay there again! Thank you to Thomas and the Alpenhotel Schlüssel team for making our trip to Andermatt so lovely.
