"The room was nice and the price was very reasonable. The staff were engaging and fun to talk with!
We had a very nice stay and I would book this hotel again."
"The hotel and staff were all so lovely, kind and professional! It is probably one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.
Their breakfast was also amazing!
We’ve been meaning to go to a classical music concert as well but they partnered with a music festival where they had a trio perform at the hotel one afternoon an it was such a nice surprise event to check out. Could not recommend this place enough! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!"
"We stayed three nights over Easter at Capelongue, just one day after opening for the season—and unfortunately, it showed throughout.
Check-in was poorly managed. We arrived at 12:30 with a pre-confirmed early check-in, yet no one could tell us when the room would be ready. We were sent to lunch (which was good), but even at 15:10 the room was still not available. When we pointed out that Expedia listed check-in from 15:00, we were told it was actually 16:00. We were eventually given the room shortly after, but the process felt disorganised.
We booked a Deluxe Terrace but were given what seemed to be one of the smallest in that category, in the older part of the hotel. No seating area as shown in photos, visible dust, and a terrace next to the parking with a loud AC unit running constantly. It’s hard not to wonder whether booking via Expedia influenced the room allocation.
Service lacked consistency: pool towels not cleared or set up properly, pool water not very clean, and empty glasses left around. Basic standards were missing.
On the positive side, the food was good and restaurant service attentive, and the property is visually appealing. Overall, however, the experience fell short. Would return, but not at the start of the season."
