"Room was clean and a decent size, however it got very hot. Opening the windows helped a lot. It’s very noisy though, whenever someone opens a door it slams shut. It was rather disruptive at 5:30 in the morning when people were packing up and leaving."

"This was one our best stays. We rented the pent house and had all the amenities of the apartment (fully equipped kitchen and laundry). We were party of 4. We had luggage, even though we had elevators to the floor, our unit inside was located floor above which was nice (private) at the same time we had to take the bag upstairs. There were multiple balconies however little TLC was needed. We didnt go outside on the balconies."

"Quiet, peaceful, beautiful property. Communication with the owner was prompt and very helpful with questions we had. A small self-serve store on site was a bonus convenience. This is a great location if you are wanting to access the Highland areas of Landmannalauger or Maelifell (we did both from here) or some of the beautiful waterfalls along the South Coast (Seljalandsfoss, Gljufrabui, Skogafoss, Nauthusagil, Kvernafoss). We stayed in 4 different places during our 10 day trip...Askot was our favorite. Just a perfect place to cook your own meals, catch up on laundry, and explore various highlights of the region. The horses on site were an added bonus and added to the rural feel of this special spot."
