"The pool heater was not working which wasn’t a deal breaker but the dirt on the floor around the pool was disgusting. Could have easily been cleaned with a mop but it doesn’t appear they even do that. The piles of dirty towels around the pool was nothing like I have ever seen. It was overflowing onto the floor. The rooms were not the best and can tell there’s not much pride anymore. There was black mold on the ceiling of the shower in our room. I have been to this hotel a few times and I won’t be going back. To add garbage pick up is at 540am on a Saturday and the banging from the bins slamming woke my family up. All in all I don’t recommend this place anymore. I used to but quality has went down."

"The room was clean and neat and staff were very friendly. The pool went hot tub we're down for maintenance the weekend that we were there. They're continental breakfast is small but nice. In the in Hotel bar and small gym was a nice touch. "

"The room was not in very good condition. crack in the bathroom floor, poor caulking around tub, the dishes didn't appear to be washed so I put them all in the dishwasher, couch was really uncomfortable and looked like it was sinking, the hook in the bathroom to hang things was removed from the wall and there was a hole where it had been. I bought a candy bar for my granddaughter and it cost $4. There was a $3 service fee! The refrigerator was dented on the door. There was a lot of noise in the room above us until after 1:00 in the morning. I advised the girl at the front desk and she was very kind and helpful. I'm not sure we will come to Hawthorne suites again. We loved it when it was called the Residence Inn, but it doesn't appear to have been updated or cared for since the change."
