"This hotel was easy to find, and the shower was the best we have had in weeks. After a 26-day cruise, we spent 20 days driving thru Europe and slept in 14 different places. This room was spacious with easily adjustable temperature control and comfortable bed. There was a sport bar run by Gunnar and Camilla that had excellent food that met our needs. Being a sports bar, the menu was limited; but the food was great! We would definitely recommend staying here."

"It’s a nice place but very hot in the apartments if the sun is out and it’s a nice day (which isn’t that often, but when it is be ready for a hot room). The staff communicated very well and were pleasant. The apartments are self serviced so don’t expect any cleaning service etc. We enjoyed it. The location is a bit out of town but a small supermarket close by, a nice bistro across the street, and two gyms to choose from (we chose World class)."

"Really cool place. Staff was completely amazing. Above and beyond. And the breakfast was one of the most amazing I’ve ever had! I’d go back just for that!! The berry juice was so good, and so much variety. The restaurant looks out over the lake. Hot tub was just ok. Area around the hotel very pretty. Room was very spacious and well appointed, if dated in style. Removed one star for a musty smell and the very weird decor, including a strange and out of place Mexico theme. "

"Just had a 3-night stay at ION City. Staffs were all friendly and amazing. Location is in the core downtown tourism area of reykjavic so that could be pro or cons depending on what you like. It's a little bit loud outside especially if the room is towards the street, but window is reasonably sound-proof. One issue was that when I first arrived there were a few blood drops in the bath towels, but after I raised that issue the room service was all good for the rest of the stay. Overall 4/5. "

"This was a pretty big apartment with lots of room. We were only staying one night, would have been really nice for a longer stay. 2 bathrooms is a rare luxury. Only complaint is that our room was in a different building from check in, we ended up parking much further away than we needed to "

"We had a great stay! The property was spotless, with a well-stocked kitchen and a layout that worked perfectly for four adults. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the downtown area, with plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. It also served as a convenient pickup spot for our excursions.
